Fruit Trees and Small Fruits/VegetablesWe offer semi-dwarf fruit trees of apples, pears, peaches, cherries, and plums, as well as small fruit and vegetable plants, for those that enjoy receiving fruits from their labor.

Wildflower SeedWe offer lovely wildflower seed mixes for those that wish to plant their own beauties. The Northeastern mix is made specifically for our region with a variety of native wildflowers. These are great to grow if wanting a bee or butterfly habitat as they provide excellent nectar sources throughout the year for our pollinator pals. The link below has great wildflower information, not all of the wildflowers in the directory are found in our seed mix though.

ArborvitaesArborvitaes make wonderful property barriers and wind breaks. Depending on the type, arborvitaes can be fast in growth and become quite large. The ones listed on our brochure are cultivars (similar but produced through selective breeding of parents) of the native arborvitaes. See the link to browse more information on arborvitaes and find the type you want.

Avoiding InvasivesInvasive plant species are problematic for our native habitats. They can take over an area quickly and out compete their native counterparts. Invasives aren't as beneficial to wildlife as natives , their fruits aren't as palpable or their branches as well-suited for nesting. Our office is still growing in our invasive knowledge and learning about some of the cultivars that stem from invasives. If you see a known invasive or invasive cultivar on our brochure please contact our office so we can remove it! See the link below for a list of Indiana Invasive Plants.

Large Quantities of TreesIf you are looking for a large quantity of trees we highly recommend ordering through the DNR State Nursery. Every spring we will go to Vallonia and pick-up the orders for Madison County. This is the best option we know of for those who want 100 or more trees. These trees will be bare root trees. Please see the file below to figure out how to order.
