A Watershed Management Plan was completed for this watershed
in 2004 and the implementation phase just wrapped up on March 1, 2008.
Through the implementation process $32,000 in cost-share
money was spent on equipment modifications for no-till. The conversion from
conventional to conservation tillage on 2,750 acres has kept 20,401,800 pounds
of soil out of the waterways in the Swanfelt watershed.
