Stream Table
The Stream Table is a model stream containing "sediment" (sand) that reacts to flowing water similar to sediment in a real creek or river. The Stream Table accurately models active stream processes related to erosion and deposition. It can be tailored to elementary as well as high school students. The hands-on learning makes it easier to grasp concepts such as velocity, stream channelization, human impact, vegetation impacts, and best management practices.
